Beautiful and mysterious, these Ethiopian opal studs set into silver are understated gems full of hidden fire and depth. These translucent milky white gemstones reveal their true beauty when they come into the light, with a flash of sparkle here and there.
Ethiopian opals were discovered in the 90s, and have grown in popularity year over year. Sometimes referred to as fossilized water, these stones are like a sponge and will soak in water, sometimes causing them to lose their vivacity. If this happens, let them naturally air dry for a few days and they should return to their original beautiful selves. We recommend you remove your opal jewelry for any type of water activities including dishwashing, swimming, showers, baths.
Opals are traditionally the birthstone for October, and make a wonderful gift for your Libra friend.
6mm Ethiopian opal/October: encourages freedom and independence, stimulates originality and creativity, helps release anger and claim self worth
NOTE: Ethiopian opals can lose color when they get wet, which is normal for this stone, and as they dry out, the color returns
