JAPAN GARAGE SALE POLICIES AND GUIDELINES

Thank you for applying to the Japan Garage Sale All things Kids and Everything Else groups.

To make this easy for you and us, we have listed our basic policies below that we ask each new member to agree with before joining the group. Once you read through these, answer the membership questions and submit your request to join.

1. LIVING IN JAPAN
Members must be living in Japan.

2. PAYMENT
Members need to have a Japan based payment method besides a credit card. This can include:
- bank or JP Post account
- Paypay account

3. LISTING ITEMS
All items for sale must be listed as follows:
- one image of the original item
- a price
Only ONE image per listing is allowed, additional images need to be placed in the comments. Additional items for sale should be posted individually, not uploaded at one time.
Post your item for sale, not stock images. Even if it's in a box, that's fine, put the stock image in the comments.

- No 'NEW/BRAND NEW/NEW with TAGS' listing allowed.
List instead as 'never used/unopened'.

- BRAND ITEMS
No knock offs allowed, if we suspect an item is a knock off, we will delete it

4. SHIPPING
- all items outside of vehicles or oversized furniture must have an option for shipping as this group is for the entire of Japan, not a specific region

5. CLAIMING ITEMS
Sellers are required to sell to the first person who claims the item. Do not jump the line to someone else. We will remove members who violate this policy.

6. SELLERS
We advise you do not ship until an item has been paid for. We are not responsible for collecting payments, however we can issue warnings and/or remove a member who doesn't pay for their items.

You may set a time frame for buyers to get in touch with you about shipping/payment details before you make the item available again to the next person who wants it (24 hours is a reasonable amount of time).

7. BUYERS
Please pay for items within 3 days of purchase. Unless you offer to pay for insurance/tracking, we will not be responsible if an item gets lost in the mail.

8. LANGUAGE
We ask that all public comments/listings be conducted in English.

9. ALBUMS
If you have a large number of items to sell, we advise you create an album for your stuff as it makes it easy for you to keep track of and find your stuff later on vs. scrolling through the timeline for it.

Please include YOUR NAME in the album title.

10. SOLD ITEMS
Please delete any items that have been sold, paid for and shipped to keep the group photos folder clean and easy to navigate.

11. REMOVALS
We reserve the right to remove anyone who repeatedly violates our group policies, who is rude to anyone in the group, who messages members privately with inappropriate content or contact, or who adds spam to the group.
